What We Do
The Change Society Needs is a Community Based Organization based in Kabarole District. We are registered as a Not-For-Profit Organization under the Kabarole District Local Government.
Our Mission
To provide training, education and support to families and communities in the care of children, women and young adults in different communities.
What We’ve Achieved
We carried out community outreaches and interacted with locals in various communities. Through these outreaches we did mass sensitization and also educated people about their Sexual Reproductive Health Rights. (SRHR)
Together with BSC and Jabulani Arts Cultural Hub we wrote, filmed and released a short film titled “Pleasure Disorder.” This motion picture focused on premarital relationships, teenage pregnancies, drug abuse and HIV/AIDS.
CSN together with BUF conducted a rapid response activity under the theme “Feed My Family.” This was aimed at solving the hunger and famine situation brought about by the COVID-19 crisis. Through donor remittances, we were able to donate food supplies to a total of 90 families in Karangura Village.
CSN together with Aperture and Imagine Her(IH), we worked on a documentary/tutorial on how a girl child or woman can make reusable sanitary pads at home. Through this, we achieved both girl child and woman empowerment
